South Africa's Chad le Clos has beaten Michael Phelps to the 200m butterfly gold at London 2012.
The Baltimore Bullet led until the final stretch, but Le Clos raised his game in the final length to beat the American by a fraction of a second, finishing in 1:52.96.
Phelps took silver on 1:53.01, and Japan's Takeshi Matsuda picked up bronze for his finish of 1:53.21. Austria's Dinko Jukic came in almost a full second behind in fourth.
Although Phelps missed out on the gold, his silver tonight sees him equal the record for the most overall medals earned at the Olympic games.
He has 14 golds, two silvers, and two bronzes to his name.
