Great Britain's Luke Davies clocked the second-fastest time of the 200m breaststroke heats at the European Games this morning.
Davies's time of 2:12.75 ensured safe passage into the semi-finals, after finishing behind the Russian Federation's Anton Chupkov (2:11.52).
Team GB's Charlie Attwood also qualified, finishing second in his heat with a time of 2:14.78.
Russia dominated proceedings with four of the top five fastest swimmers, but only two from each nation are allowed through to the next round.
This means that Attwood is fourth-fastest going into the semis, which will take place in the Baku Aquatics Centre later this afternoon.
