Great Britain secured their third silver medal of the World Aquatics Championships as Scarlett Mew Jensen and Yasmin Harper finished as runners-up in the women's 3m synchro diving competition.

The pair posted a total of 296.58 to take second place behind the Chinese team of Chang Yani and Chen Yiwen, who continued their nation's early dominance in Fukuoka with 341.94 to take the gold.

Mew Jensen and Harper's success comes after Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix and Lois Toulson won silver in the women's 10m synchro on Sunday, becoming GB's first-ever female world medallists in diving.

Jack Laugher and Anthony Harding also finished as runners-up in the men's 3m synchro for GB, while Mew Jensen and Harper have confirmed Paris 2024 Olympics quota spots with their own silver.

The pair were slightly down on their final routine with a total of 60.30 - the eighth-best score of the round - but they finished over 10 points clear of Italian bronze medallists Elena Bertocchi and Chiara Pellacani (285.99).

However, Matty Lee and Noah Williams could not add to GB's medal haul on the third day, as the pair placed fourth in the men's 10m synchro behind China, Ukraine and Mexico.
