Duncan Scott has claimed his third medal of the Tokyo Olympics, with silver in the men's 200m individual medley.

The 24-year-old swam a superb race, shaving 0.7 seconds off his personal best in the event and coming within a whisker of taking the gold, which went the way of China's Wang Shun.

Swiss swimmer Jeremy Desplanches earned bronze in what becomes Switzerland's first Olympics swimming medal since 1984.

Scott now becomes one of GB's most decorated ever Olympic swimmers, with a total of five Olympic medals from Tokyo and Rio 2016.

Meanwhile, Team GB's haul from the pool in Tokyo now grows to six - three golds, two silver and a bronze - with two days of competition still remaining.
