Great Britain's Jazz Carlin has claimed a spot in the women's 400m freestyle event at the World Swimming Championships in Kazan.
The 24-year-old, who won the silver medal at this distance in last year's Commonwealth Games, tied for second in her heat, seeing her through as the sixth-fastest competitor.
American Katie Ledecky set the pace, posting a time of 4:01.73, just over three seconds off the time she swam last year to break the world record.
The medals will be decided when the final takes place later today.
