Joanna Drinkhall has revealed that she was delighted to win gold for Team England in the mixed doubles table tennis final at the Commonwealth Games.
Joanna and her husband Paul defeated their England teammates Liam Pitchford and Tin-Tin Ho in their gold-medal match at the Scotstoun Campus.
She told reporters: "It's great to win a mixed doubles event and it's great that we can share that - the crowd here have been fantastic and the whole atmosphere has been so good.
"To come out with a gold medal - the moment gets the better of you, I'm a bit emotional right now."
Drinkhall is also competing in the women's doubles bronze-medal match with teammate Kelly Sibley later today.
