Paul Drinkhall has insisted that England's table tennis team are in "great shape" as they target both men's and women's medals at the Commonwealth Games.
Drinkhall and Liam Pitchford have been making an impact on the tour, and the British number one is confident that there is also strength within the female squad.
"I think the table tennis team are in great shape," he told reporters. "We got promotion at the World Championships just over a month ago. I won the Spanish Open in April and Liam [Pitchford] has climbed up the world rankings quite a lot in the last year.
"Everyone has been in great form – I think the women are looking quite good at the moment as well, so we're all going to be pushing for medals and hopefully we'll come out happy."
Both the women's and men's team events begin on Thursday - the first day of competition in Glasgow.
