51-year-old Ni Xialian of Luxembourg has knocked fourth seed Georgina Pota out of the women's singles table tennis competition at the European Games in Baku.
The Hungarian came up against the three-time Olympian, who was born in China but has represented her adopted country for more than 25 years.
Ni, who was knocked out in the second round in the London Olympics in 2012, ensured that she progressed with an emphatic 11-8 11-6 11-9 11-5 win over Pota.
Ni will take on Ukraine's Margaryta Pesotska in the third round tomorrow.
