Team GB's Joanna Parker has failed to build on her opening win in the table tennis tournament as she fell to a 4-1 defeat against Germany's Kristin Silbereisen this morning.
Parker, who had won her first match 4-0, struggled in today's clash and despite an improvement in the third game, she was no match for the world number 47.
Silbereisen was in terrific form in the opening two games, winning 11-6 and 11-7, but Parker hit back to win the third 11-7.
However, Silbereisen dominated the fourth game and took it by an 11-2 scoreline.
She defended the back of the table admirably at the start of the fifth and final game, but Silbereisen's play proved too aggressive and she won it 11-4.
