Great Britain's Martin Stamper has overcome the challenge of Filip Grgic in the preliminary round of the men's -68kg.
The 28-year-old got off to the perfect start against his Croatian opponent by dominating the opening round, scoring twice with defensive body kicks on the way to taking it 10-3.
However, Grgic stormed back during the second, coming through by a 7-2 margin that left the overall score at 12-10 heading into the third session.
Grgic registered three of the opening four points during the first 75 seconds of the decider, but Stamper produced a strong finish to finally see off the 25-year-old.
The contest, which included 31 points, was the highest scoring fight of the Games so far.
