Team GB's Martin Stamper has won his opening bout of the men's taekwondo -68kg.
Stamper was tested by Mexico's Erick Osnornio Nunez, but he managed to win the bout 5-2 and secure a place in the quarter-finals.
The opening two rounds of the bout passed by without a scoring shot being landed, but Stamper was issued with an orange warning card.
The final round proved dramatic as Stamper scored with his first scoring shot midway through the round, and despite a head-shot being questioned by the Mexican's coach, he secured a 4-0 lead.
The Mexican quickly pulled two points back to reduce the deficit, but Stamper scored one more point to win the bout 5-2.
