Jack Draper and Cameron Norrie continued their hot streaks Down Under by reaching the semi-finals of the Adelaide International 2 and ASB Classic respectively.

Draper was knocked out of the Adelaide International 1 by Karen Khachanov, but he earned a slice of revenge over the Russian with a 6-4 7-6[3] victory.

Meanwhile, Norrie made it through to the final four in Auckland by beating the USA's Marcos Giron 6-1 6-7[5] 6-2, setting up a tie with his opponent's compatriot Jenson Brooksby in the process.

Draper's contest with Khachanov saw the 21-year-old break in the third game of the match before holding convincingly - winning 81% of points on his first serve and firing five aces.

Draper missed two break points in the third game of the second set before breaking again in the fifth, but he was broken by Khachanov while serving for the match as the Russian forced a tie-breaker.

The world number 40 recorded his 10th ace of the day and capitalised on more unforced errors from Khachanov to get the job done in one hour and 45 minutes, and he will tackle South Korea's Kwon Soon-woo in the semi-finals.

Over in Auckland, Norrie took two hours and three minutes to see off Giron after a blip in the second set, having won six games from seven in a dominant first set.

The British number one experienced difficulties in the second, though, quickly falling 2-0 down and also beating away two break points in the third game, but he got the contest back on serve straight after.

Neither man gave too much away on serve before the tie-breaker, which Giron edged to take the match to a third and final set, where Norrie soon rediscovered his bite.

The Wimbledon semi-finalist won three of the opening four games and clinched the double break late on to regain control, eventually seeing out the win despite hitting four double faults compared to Giron's zero.

The draw for the first round of the Australian Open also took place on Wednesday, and Draper has been handed a glamour tie against defending champion and 22-time Grand Slam winner Rafael Nadal.

Meanwhile, Norrie will play French wildcard Luca van Assche, and Andy Murray - who defeated Alex de Minaur 6-3 6-3 at the Kooyong Classic in Melbourne - takes on world number 14 Matteo Berrettini.

Should Emma Raducanu overcome an ankle injury in time for the start of the tournament on January 16, the 20-year-old will begin her bid for Grand Slam glory against Germany's Tamara Korpatsch.
