Twenty-two-time Grand Slam winner Novak Djokovic has moved level with Steffi Graf on a staggering 377 weeks as world number one.

The Serbian had been knocked off top spot during his disrupted 2022 season, where he missed the Australian Open and US Open due to being unvaccinated against COVID-19.

Carlos Alcaraz secured Grand Slam glory at Flushing Meadows to become the youngest year-end number one in 2022, but Djokovic returned to the summit with his 10th Australian Open triumph in January.

Djokovic has not taken to the court since his 22nd major win Down Under, but the 35-year-old has now equalled Graf's record for the most weeks as world number one.

Djokovic currently boasts 7,070 points in the rankings, while Alcaraz - who beat Cameron Norrie in the final of the Argentina Open on Sunday night - is 590 worse off with 6,480.

Closest to Djokovic and Graf's record of 377 is Martina Navratilova with 332 weeks, while Serena Williams (319) and Roger Federer (310) make up the rest of the top five. body check tags ::
