British number one Cameron Norrie has fallen short in his bid to qualify for this year's ATP Finals.

The Indian Wells Masters champion exited the Paris Masters in the last-16 stage to the USA's Taylor Fritz, which left his hopes of qualifying for the season-ending tournament hanging in the balance.

Now, Norrie's bid to make the ATP Finals has ended in failure, with Poland's Hubert Hurkacz taking the final spot after marching to the semi-finals of the Paris Masters.

Hurkacz overcame James Duckworth in three sets to set up a last-four showdown with Novak Djokovic, but Norrie is still set to be an alternate for November's event in Turin.

Britain will be represented at the ATP Finals by Joe Salisbury and Jamie Murray in the doubles event with their respective partners, while Norrie now prepares for the Stockholm Open and Davis Cup Finals later this month.
