American Mardy Fish has moved to ease concerns over a groin injury that threatened his participation at the upcoming ATP World Tour Finals.
The 29-year-old was forced to withdraw from the recent Paris Masters after sustaining the complaint in a match against Argentine Juan Monaco.
Fears were subsequently raised as to whether the world number eight would be able to compete in London but he has confirmed that there are no issues other his fitness.
"I feel a lot better physically than I did seven days ago, so that is encouraging for me," said Fish. " [The groin strain] feels a lot better since Paris. I would have liked to have played more matches coming in for sure, but I am trying to get in as many practise sessions as I can.
"I'm not taking anything for granted. The conditions here are a little different to those in The O2 bubble and at Queen's Club though."
Fish will take on world number two Rafael Nadal on Sunday.
