Tenth seed Grigor Dimitrov has said that he believes he is ready to win a Grand Slam title, after progressing to the third round of the Australian Open.
The Bulgarian beat Lukas Lacko 6-3 6-7 6-3 6-3 in the second-round, and afterwards he said that it is time he stepped up to win a major tournament.
He told reporters: "If you ask me, of course I'd say yes. But that's something that I'd definitely need to show I think throughout all the matches and be more consistent.
"If I'm ready? Yes, I think I'm ready. But before you get to the final or something like that, you need to go through quite a few players that are the top right now and playing their great tennis."
Dimitrov next faces Marcos Baghdatis, who beat David Goffin in four sets.
