Simona Halep has insisted that she has not given any thought to winning the Australian Open yet ahead of her second-round clash with Jarmila Gajdosova.
The third seed was dominant in a straight-sets win over Karin Knapp in the first round, but she claims that thinking about competing in the latter stages of the tournament is not an option.
"I don't want to think I have to win this tournament - or be in the semi-finals or quarter-finals," Halep told reporters. "I want to take it match by match.
"This will be a tough match, and we'll see how well I can do at this tournament because it's a tough tournament."
Halep's best performance at the Australian Open came last year as she reached the quarter-finals before losing to Dominika Cibulkova.
