Andy Murray has revealed that using variety with his shots could be the most effective way to play against Marinko Matosevic.
The Australian is known for his aggressive style of play, but Murray, who defeated Matosevic at the Hopman Cup earlier this month, is confident that his play over the past few weeks will be enough to help him through to the third round.
The 27-year-old is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "I need to continue serving well.
"That helps against whoever you're playing against. When you play against a big guy who likes to go for his shots, if you can keep good weight and depth behind your shots, that can frustrate them.
"I'll try and use some variety to throw his timing off a little bit and just continue doing what I've been doing the last few weeks."
