Jerzy Janowicz is through to the Australian Open third round, after he knocked out 17th seed Gael Monfils in five sets.
The Pole showed resilience to come from two sets to one down, and he produced some fine tennis to eventually prevail 6-4 1-6 6-7 6-3 6-3.
Janowicz's big serve was in full flow early on as he eased his way to the opening set, before Monfils came back strongly and claimed both the second and third with some breath-taking ground strokes.
Janowicz was forced to dig deep to force a deciding set, with just a single break of serve enough for him to claim a tight fourth, before a late surge in the fifth brought him victory.
He will next play Spain's Feliciano Lopez.
