Angelique Kerber breezed into the third round of the Australian Open on Wednesday thanks to a comfortable win over Alla Kudryavtseva.
The world number nine advanced from the second round encounter with a 6-4 6-2 straight-set victory at the expense of the Russian qualifier on the Margaret Court Arena.
The German, who is 153 places ahead of Kudryavtseva in the world rankings, never looked in trouble and made quick work of her opponent as she looks to win her first Grand Slam title.
Kerber, who lost to Bulgarian qualifier Tsvetana Pironkova in the final of the Sydney Open earlier this month, is looking to topple her best performance of reaching the fourth round at the Australian Grand Slam.
