Johanna Konta has recorded a straight-sets victory over Denisa Allertova to reach the Australian Open fourth round.
Last summer, Konta lost to Allertova in the opening round of the French Open, but from the first ball, there was never any indication that lightning could strike twice as the Sydney-born player broke Allertova's serve in the opening game.
Konta also struck in the seventh game before serving out the set, and she continued to impress by breaking serve in the first game of the second set.
Allertova showed glimpses of her ability but she made too many unforced errors to ever trouble Konta, who finished the contest without facing a break point.
Konta would break serve once again later in the set before she successfully served the match 6-2 6-2 to set up a last-16 showdown with Ekaterina Makarova.
The 24-year-old also becomes the first British woman to reach the fourth round at the tournament since Jo Durie did so in 1987.
