Li Na needed just 61 minutes to book her place in round two of the 2014 Australian Open at the expense of Ana Konjuh on Monday.
The fourth seed prevailed 6-2 6-0, hitting 20 winners, 18 unforced errors and taking 13 of 19 points at the net.
Li recorded three aces and conceded just one break point, which she saved, in the entire match.
Konjuh struggled to make any impact against Li's serve during the second set, in which the Croatian won only four receiving points.
Next up for the Chinese number one is a clash with Switzerland's Belinda Bencic, who overcame Kimiko Date-Krumm 6-4 4-6 6-3.
