Li Na has booked her place in the quarter-finals of the Australian Open with a straight-sets victory over Ekaterina Makarova.
The 31-year-old got the better of her Russian opponent 6-2 6-0 in just 59 minutes in the fourth round on Sunday, breaking the 25-year-old's serve five times in the process.
Li was in control of the contest right from the start and had little trouble in wrapping up the first set 6-2.
The Chinese world number four had an even easier time during the second set, winning it in just 24 minutes.
Li will take on Flavia Pennetta in the quarter-finals on Tuesday.
