Samantha Stosur has been knocked out of the Australian Open, as she lost to Coco Vandeweghe today.
The American broke Stosur early in the opening set, and her high standard of play didn't drop as she clinched it 6-4.
Stosur upped her game in the second but Vandeweghe's confidence was too high, as she continued to hit winners and move around the court effortlessly.
A break of serve early on proved to be pivotal, as Stosur failed to make any inroads on Vandeweghe's serve and she bowed out with a 6-4 6-4 defeat.
Vandeweghe will face her compatriot Madison Brengle in the next round.
