Top seed Rafael Nadal has defeated Damir Dzumhur in straight sets to remain on course for a second Australian Open crown.
The Spaniard stormed to a 6-1 6-3 6-1 victory at the Margaret Court Arena on Friday morning to set up a meeting with Diego Schwartzman in the last 16.
Nadal, whose only previous success here came in 2009, finished the job in under two hours as he dropped serve just once against his 28th-seed opponent.
Dzumhur struggled early on, losing five games on the bounce and only marginally recovering in a one-sided opening set Down Under.
The only blemish for Nadal arrived in the fourth game of the second set, with Dzumhur plugging away to break his opponent, but it proved to be straightforward enough for Nadal as he took four of the next five games.
The final set was also a stroll, getting over the line with his third match point to join the likes of Grigor Dimitrov and British hopeful Kyle Edmund in the next round.
