Caroline Wozniacki has battled back from a set down to defeat Sabine Lisicki in the first round of the Australian Open.
The German began in scintillating form, smashing 17 winners on her way to a 6-2 victory in the opening set.
However, 14 unforced errors meant that hope was not lost for Wozniacki.
The Dane rallied hard in the second set, helped by yet more sloppy errors from last year's Wimbledon semi-finalist.
After levelling the match at one set apiece, Wozniacki fell 3-0 behind early in the second.
Lisicki then went into meltdown, losing four games on the bounce to leave her Melbourne dream hanging by a thread.
In contrast, Wozniacki was in solid form, and closed out the match 6-3 in the final set.
