Italy's Andreas Seppi caused the shock of the tournament so far when he knocked out second seed Roger Federer in the third round at the Australian Open earlier.
The world number 46 beat the four-time champion 6-4 7-6 4-6 7-6 to set up a fourth-round meeting with home favourite Nick Kyrgios.
