Belgium's Kim Clijsters is safely through to the third round of the women's Olympic singles thanks to a comfortable straight-sets victory over Spain's Carla Suarez Navarro on Wimbledon's Court One.
The four-time Grand Slam winner, who is participating in her first Games, broke once on her way to a 6-3 win in the first set.
Suarez Navarro's game was strewn with errors in the second as Clijsters closed out the contest 6-3.
The Belgian will now play Ana Ivanovic in round three following the Serbian 11th seed's straight-sets triumph over Britain's Elena Baltacha.
