Angelique Kerber overturned a one-set deficit to advance through at the Cincinnati Open at the expense of Tímea Babos this evening.
Hungarian Babos started the brighter of the two players and claimed a decisive break of Kerber's serve midway through the opening set. She eventually served out for a 6-3 success.
Babos failed to build upon that triumph though, as Germany's Kerber took control of the match.
She dropped just three more games on her way to winning the match 3-6 6-1 6-2.
