Milos Raonic has defeated Janko Tipsarevic in straight sets to secure his place in round three of the Western & Southern Open.
The Canadian claimed the first set 6-4 and edged the second in a tie-break by the same score to complete his third victory over Tipsarevic in as many attempts.
The result comes one day after beaten Rogers Cup finalist Raonic struggled through a three-set win over American Jack Sock in the previous round.
Raonic, who is now ranked in the top 10, will take on John Isner in the next round.
