Kyle Edmund could feature for Great Britain during next weekend's Davis Cup tie against the USA.
The 19-year-old has been named in the squad by captain Leon Smith alongside Andy Murray, James Ward and Colin Fleming.
Although Ward is more experienced than Edmund, Smith may use the youngster in the second singles match behind Wimbledon champion Murray, according to the London Evening Standard.
Edmund has only made five Tour appearances, winning one against Kenny de Schepper at Eastbourne last summer.
