Andy Murray took just 90 minutes to win his first competitive match since the Australian Open final as he overcame Taro Daniel in straight sets to give Great Britain a 1-0 lead in their Davis Cup clash against Japan.
The Scotsman sealed a 6-1 6-3 6-1 victory in the opening World Group series rubber of the day in Birmingham.
Murray, who became a father for the first time on February 9, swiftly went a double break up before taking the first set in less than half an hour.
In the second set, games went by the way of serve until Murray broke twice to double his lead and then wrapped up the third set in 31 minutes.
