Rafael Nadal recently revealed that had he offered Andy Murray the use of his mega-yacht while the latter was in Spain.

The Spaniard is over in the United States competing in the US Open, having beaten Chung Hyeon at the Arthur Ashe Stadium on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Murray had been taking part in the Rafa Nadal Open at Nadal's academy in Mallorca, Spain. The former World number one is working his way back to full fitness after coming back from a hip resurfacing operation and registered a win over Norbert Gombos on Tuesday. He suffered a loss to Matteo Viola on Thursday, however.

Nadal told reporters that he had reached out to Murray to let him know he could use his boat if he wanted to kick back on his day off while in the current number two's hometown.

"I just texted him when I knew that he was going to play at the academy," he said after beating Millman, Sky Sports News reports. "I just texted him a couple days ago saying, 'If you need anything, just let me know. If you want to go out with the boat or anything, I can help you, just let me know."

Nadal also sent Murray a number for one of his best friends in case he needed someone to accompany him while checking out what Spain has to offer.

"I'm very happy to have Andy Murray playing there," USA Today also quotes him as saying. "That's great news for us, of course, but for him and the world of sport, to have him back on the tennis court is great news. I wish him all the very best."

The US Open will come to a close on September 8, and we could have a great finale on our hands. Nadal is 8/11 to reach the tournament's final with Skybet while his nemesis Roger Federer is 9/4. Novak Djokovic is 2/3 with the same bookies and fans looking to place bets could grab no deposit bonus codes at OnlineSportbetting.ca.

Djokovic is the outright favourite to beat all chasers to gold in the Open and William Hill has odds of 8/11 on offer on that front. Nadal is at 15/8 with Ladbrokes while Federer is 6/1 with Bet365. Federer and Nadal have never met in a US Open final and the latter is hoping they could this time around, but a Djokovic vs. Stefanos Tsitsipas or Djokovic vs. Dominic Thiem final seems to be what's going for the bookies and Boyle Sports is offering 18/1 odds on either.

There's still a lot of tennis to be played before the September 8 final so we should have a much clearer picture as it pertains to the two stars who get to face off on the day.

Murray opted to pass up on the tourney to focus on singles tennis, having initially planned to play doubles in the Open this year. The Scot has been struggling with fitness issues for around three years and it was feared that he could retire in 2019. Hopefully, that's still a way off.
