Julien Benneateau and Richard Gasquet of France have won the men's doubles bronze medal by beating Spain's David Ferrer and Feliciano Lopez this afternoon.
The first set on Wimbledon's No. 1 Court was close, with both pairs offering their opponents just a single opportunity of a break, which neither could take.
A tie-break had to settle the opener and it was the Frenchmen who claimed it to-four as they never looked back from moving 5-2 ahead.
The French continued their momentum from the breaker early on in the second to take a 2-1 lead before doubling the break and serving out the match to-love to wrap up a 7-6[4] 6-2 triumph.
France are now guaranteed two medals in the event as Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Michael Llodra go for the gold medal later today against the top-seeded Bryan brothers, Bob and Mike, of the United States.
