Novak Djokovic has revealed that he is excited by his "golden opportunity" to make tennis history in the French Open final on Sunday.
The world number one, who beat Roger Federer in Friday's semi-final, is bidding to become the first man since Rod Laver in 1969 to hold all four Grand Slam titles at the same time.
However, the Serbian has to overcome defending champion Rafael Nadal who is looking to reach another landmark with a seventh triumph at Roland Garros.
"I have a golden opportunity to make history," said Djokovic. "This motivates me and inspires me."
The 25-year-old is also expecting the match on Court Phillipe Chatrier to be an emotionally-draining one.
"Considering matches that we've played against each other in the last 15 months I expect another emotional match," he added.
Djokovic has won two of his previous 13 meetings against Nadal on clay.
