Rafael Nadal has praised his family following his three-set win over David Ferrer in the final of the French Open on Sunday.
The 6-3 6-2 6-3 victory made Nadal the first man to win a Grand Slam title eight times, but he has admitted that he did not think the moment would come after battling injury last year.
"It's one of the most special ones. In the last year I have had some low moments but without my family I would not have done this," he told reporters following the match.
"Without my physio I could not have done this. I never realised something like this could happen for me."
Wimbledon gets underway later this month.
