World number one Serena Williams has revealed that she is adopting a cautious attitude for the upcoming French Open.
The American suffered her first ever opening-round defeat in a Grand Slam at last year's tournament when she was stunned by France's Virginie Razzano.
"Last year I was feeling excellent but didn't do great and this year I am cautious and I want to work hard and stay focused," Williams is quoted as saying by Eurosport.
Williams's only triumph at the French Open came in 2002 following a victory over her sister Venus in the final.
