Maria Sharapova has described her victory in the French Open final as a "dream come true".
The Russian won her second title at Roland Garros on Saturday thanks to an epic three-set triumph against Romanian fourth seed Simona Halep.
"It's a dream come true," the 27-year-old is quoted as saying by BBC Sport. "This tournament means so much to me and to think that I've won it two times, I don't know, I'm so emotional right now I can't even talk.
"This is the toughest Grand Slam final I have ever played and all respect to Simona, she played an unbelievable match today."
Sharapova has now won five Grand Slam titles following her victory over Halep.
