Janko Tipsarevic has sealed his place in round four of the French Open with a 6-3 7-5 6-4 victory over Julien Benneteau.
Tipsarevic looked in superb form in the early stages but was frustrated by Benneteau on a number of occasions until the Serb did manage to find a vital break of serve to take the first set 6-3.
Benneteau continued to perform well but struggled to test his opponent's service games and Tipsarevic once again only needed a solitary break of serve to take a two-set lead.
The home crowd favourite finally managed to break Tipsarevic in the third set as he looked to find a way back into the match.
However, Benneteau failed to take advantage of the breakthrough and allowed Tipsarevic back into the set with a poor service game.
Tipsarevic never looked back and grabbed the crucial break in the ninth game of the set before comfortably serving out the match to seal his place in the fourth round.
