Novak Djokovic has reached the French Open final after he recorded a four-set victory over Ernests Gulbis.
The world number two has failed in his previous bids to win the title at Roland Garros, but he moved a step closer to achieving the career Grand Slam after beating Gulbis by a 6-3 6-3 3-6 6-3 scoreline.
Djokovic stormed through the opening two sets for the loss of just six games as Gulbis struggled to make any impact on his opponent's serve, but the Latvian struck in the third as he threatened to disrupt the rhythm of the six-time major titlist.
However, despite the two players exchanging breaks of serves at the start of the fourth, Djokovic remained the more composed of the pair, and after opening up a 5-3 advantage, he comfortably served out the match to win in two hours and 34 minutes.
Djokovic will play either Rafael Nadal or Andy Murray in Sunday's final.
