Novak Djokovic's quest for a first ever French Open title got off to a winning start this afternoon as he defeated Lu Yen-Hsun 6-4 6-1 6-1.
After an even start to the Roland Garros contest, world number one Djokovic decisively broke midway through the first set.
After that, Lu decided to try to take the game to his Serbian opponent by going on the hunt for quick winning strokes.
However, he only succeeded in committing too many unforced errors, making it a routine victory for Djokovic in one hour and 30 minutes.
The three-time finalist in Paris will now take on Belgium's Steve Darcis in the second round.
