Novak Djokovic has sealed his place in round two of the French Open thanks to a straight-sets triumph over Jarkko Nieminen.
The world number one is looking to win his first title at Roland Garros after reaching the final in both 2012 and 2014.
Djokovic established a 2-0 lead at the start of the first set before another break allowed him to serve it out 6-4 with minimal fuss.
However, Nieminen came out fighting in the second, breaking the Serb on his way to going 5-2 up. It looked as if the Finn was going to go on and level the match, but Djokovic mounted a typically dogged comeback.
The eight-time Grand Slam champion went on to win the next five consecutive games on his way to taking the set 7-5.
With Nieminen's resolve broken, Djokovic went into overdrive in the third, eventually securing a 6-4 7-5 6-2 triumph.
Waiting for the top seed in round two will be either Gilles Muller or Paolo Lorenzi.
