David Goffin grabbed a place in the quarter-finals of the French Open after sealing victory over Ernests Gulbis in four sets on Wednesday.
The 12th seed earned a 4-6 6-2 6-2 6-3 triumph in just over two-and-a-half hours on the clay court in Paris.
It was a tough start for the Belgian as he relinquished the first set after losing serve twice, but Gulbis failed to carry his momentum into the second.
Goffin, who has not previously reached the final eight at Roland Garros, swiftly claimed a double break before drawing level on sets.
From that point on, the 25-year-old dominated the court and eventually set up a quarter-final clash against Dominic Thiem.
