Simona Halep has reached the French Open final for the third time with victory over Garbine Muguruza.
The world number one is looking to finally end her search for a first Major crown, and the Romanian has given herself another opportunity with a 6-1 6-4 triumph over the 2016 champion.
Muguruza had thrashed Maria Sharapova in the last eight, but the Spaniard produced 14 unforced errors during the opening set as Halep established an advantage.
The second was more competitive with Muguruza getting to within a point of being able to serve for the set, but Halep held her nerve to hold and then strike to love in the 10th game to seal the win in 92 minutes.
Halep will face Sloane Stephens in the final after the US Open champion defeated Madison Keys.
