Simona Halep has booked her place in the fourth round of the French Open after recovering from a set down to beat Naomi Osaka 4-6 6-2 6-3 at Roland Garros.
The sixth seed made a bad start to the third-round clash when losing serve three times in the opening set, allowing Osaka - ranked outside the world's top 100 - to grab an early foothold.
Osaka squandered a break point in the first game of the next set, perhaps acting as the turning point as Halep comfortably pushed on to level up the contest.
The deciding set swayed both ways, but in the end it was the favourite who prevailed by breaking her opponent's serve in the fourth and eighth games to get over the line.
Halep, a finalist two years ago, will face either Lucie Safarova or Samantha Stosur in the last 16 of the competition.
