Jelena Jankovic has comfortably secured her place in the third round of the French Open by beating Kurumi Nara 7-5 6-0 in Paris.
The first set was a tight affair between the two competitors, with games going by way of serve.
Jankovic failed to grab an early break opportunity in the second game, but she eventually wore down her opponent to take a 6-5 lead, despite Nara saving an initial break point.
After taking a one-set lead, Jankovic took full control of the court by earning a break of serve at the first time of asking in the second set.
Once Nara had lost a second break, she failed to recover as Jankovic stormed through the set to continue her campaign in Paris.
