Rafael Nadal has booked his spot in the third round of the French Open after beating Argentine challenger Facundo Bagnis 6-3 6-0 6-3 on Thursday afternoon.
Nadal, who is attempting to reclaim the French crown from Novak Djokovic, has now dropped just nine games in two rounds in this year's competition.
Bagnis, playing in just his sixth Grand Slam match, claimed three games in the opening set, but ultimately lost 6-3 after Nadal comfortably held his own serve.
The former world number one did lose one service game in the third set, but a 6-0 second and 6-3 third ensured that the Spaniard would comfortably ease into the next round.
Next up for Nadal is either Nicolas Mahut or Marcel Granollers.
