Serena Williams has sailed into the French Open second round with a comfortable straight-sets victory over Andrea Hlavackova.
The two-time champion powered into a 3-1 lead during the opening set before Hlavackova broke back to get within a game of her opponent.
However, the American responded by breaking two more times on her way to clinching the set 6-2.
Williams was in an equally ruthless mood in the second, seeing off the Czech 6-2 6-3 with an hour on clock. The world number one will now meet either Alexa Glatch or Anna-Lena Friedsam in the next round.
