Petra Kvitova has been knocked out of the French Open by Shelby Rogers in a huge third-round victory for the American.
The world number 108, who has already defied the odds by overcoming Karolina Pliskova and Elena Vesnina in Paris, progressed through with a 6-0 6-7(3) 6-0 win.
A one-sided opener saw Rogers break her opponent's serve on three occasions for a first-set whitewash and, while two-time Wimbledon champion Kvitova did recover in the second by coming out on top in the tie-break, it was a fairly comfortable win for her opponent in the end.
Rogers once more held throughout to storm to victory in three sets, earning a third upset at this year's tournament to book a place in the last 16, where she will face Irina-Camelia Begu.
