Andy Murray has admitted that he needed to start both sets better in his Indian Wells semi-final defeat to Novak Djokovic.
The British number one lost 6-2 6-3 to the top seed, who needed less than 90 minutes to set up a meeting with Roger Federer in the final.
The Scot told BBC Sport: "I'd have liked to have started both sets better. He was up very quickly in both and coming from behind against those guys is tough.
"There's a reason why he's number one in the world, it's not always just about me."
Murray has not beaten Djokovic since he won the Wimbledon title in 2013.
